Baby Jogger City Mini

I'm posting a stroller, but I guarantee you that it will be the first of many. The Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller was recommended to me, I looked it up, and it really does fit every single requirement that I have for a stroller. It is lightweight, durable, has a basket and places to store stuff, can snap in a carseat, folds up easily, and is a 3-wheeler but not with huge pretentious wheels.

So...great, you must be thinking. But...Menachem has ONE requirement: That the handlebars adjust to accommodate taller people (i.e. him). I was *told* that the City Mini has pretty high handlebars, but until we try it (and remember, we live in Israel and don't have so much opportunity to baby store hop), or until someone tall assures us that it is comfortable, it is going off our list.

GRRRRR....

Any tall readers out there have experience with the City Mini?

Beco Butterfly Carrier

I hate when I want overpriced goods. But it's just too late. I saw this perfect baby carrier at a friend's house and fell in love with it. Most baby carriers seem too bulky or not supportive enough. I definitely don't want metal bars or something that makes it looks like I'm going camping, but I also don't want something that the baby sort of disappears in due to lack of support. I also want to be back-healthy myself and am afraid that one of those cloth slings (which I also want) which are good for carrying the baby for a little bit, are probably not so good on the back if you're holding the baby for a while.

Also, these are just so so pretty.

The Beco Butterfly Carriers (the new 2008 models) come with a removable infant insert so your little baby won't fall out or slump over. All straps are adjustable and are good for short people and tall people. And they are soft, cotton, and organic.

If I were stranded on a desert island, I think I'd want one of these with me.

Breastfeeding pillow

I imagine that if you have gigantic breasts that sag down to your lap, then your baby can comfortably recline on your lap while s/he breastfeeds. But if you're less endowed (like I am), I imagine it might get tiresome to hold your baby all the way up to your very high up breasts. I've browsed the net to try and find the cushioniest and most comfortable looking pillow and have decided that I want this specially mom-designed breastfeeding pillow. It straps around so you don't need to worry about holding it and holding the baby and it comes in cute designs and patterns. Maybe it's a little dorky to strap yourself into something, but who's looking? Mind your own business.
