Longer Lasting Diaper Rash Cream

Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment

By “longer lasting” I don’t mean the length of time that the cream stays on your baby’s tush; rather, I mean the length of time that you can use one tube or jar before having to go out and buy more.

We rarely use diaper cream these days, but when Hila was a baby we used it all the time. We went through it pretty quickly and I always thought, “Hey, they should create larger containers of this stuff.” Of course, I never bothered to check online to see if they existed. Today I’m glad to tell you that, two years later, I’ve done my

research, and you can, indeed, buy larger containers of diaper cream! (Note: Your average tube of diaper cream is about 4 oz.)

Here are a few of the top sellers:

And here is another great idea — spray on diaper cream. This would come in handy now because when we do use diaper cream for Hila, she’s not thrilled about it, and I think a light spray would be less annoying for her then lathering on a thick cream. Plus, sprays last longer than creams, don’t they? The only option for this I see though, is Boudreaux’s Rash Protector Spray, and it only comes in a 2 oz. spray can.  (There are actually a few other spray options, but they’re all about the same size.)
