Baby Jogger City Mini vs Baby Trend Snap N’ Go

Time for me to weigh in on the Baby Jogger City Mini debate! The City Mini is definitely for some people, and definitely not for others. If you’re more than 6″0, then it’s not for you. If you don’t have a car, then it’s not for you. If you live on a third floor walkup, it’s definitely not for you. But if you’re an average height, driving, ground floor living kinda guy, then I would definitely recommend it. The problem is, first of all, that I can’t push it without my knees banging into the back (try it in the store before you buy it, for sure. But make sure you’re trying it with the seat fully reclined if you plan on using it at all for your baby’s first six months or so of life). If this is an issue for you, but you still like Baby Joggers, then I’d recommend checking out the City Elite, or the City Classic. Both are much more accommodating for us taller types. The Baby Trend Single Snap N’ Go Stroller is also a good solution. Though no taller than, and possibly a bit shorter than the City Mini, the Snap ‘N Go

Baby Jogger City Mini: The Real Deal

Most of my posts are hypothetical — these are cool products, here are what other people say about them, here are my thoughts about how I may feel about that product. Well now that I have my baby and have my baby things, I’m ready to start writing some real reviews. After much research and sleepless nights, I settled on the Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller. Pros:– The easy fold mechanism is quite fantastic. I like to show it off and hear all the oohs and aahs that this feature receives. – It looks pretty snazzy. We got the red and black City Mini and so it is bright and bold. It’s three wheels give it an aerodynamic look. – It’s not pretentious. Some of those 3-wheel monstor strollers look a bit snobby to me. (No offense if you’ve got one.) – The City Mini comes with excellent accesories, such as a rain cover, parent console, and child tray. – The sun canopy is perfect. It is multi-sectioned so can cover just the top of baby’s head or extend even further down to totally block baby from the sun and elements. – It is lighter than most strollers of

Hello, my Name is Menachem, and I Like Legos

Hi! My name’s Menachem, and I’m married to Sarah. Together, we’re expecting our first. As Sarah explained earlier, this blog isn’t so much a list of things we need so much as it is a place to daydream about stuff we could have. So don’t take anything either of us says here too seriously, but if you have any comments to share, please do. We need all the help we can get. If you think you’ve got enough to say to write a post or two a week about your favorite baby products, send me an email and we’d love to have you on board. I guess the baby thing I’m most looking forward to getting isn’t so much a baby thing as it is a child thing. I really can’t wait to buy my kid his first set of Legos (We still have no idea if it’s a boy or a girl, but whenever we talk it’s always “he,” because, well, “it” just sounds icky. And we’re 99% sure it’s a boy, based on no science or fact whatsoever.). Legos are awesome! How old do you have to be to start playing with Legos? I guess we could always

Baby Jogger City Mini

I’m posting a stroller, but I guarantee you that it will be the first of many. The Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller was recommended to me, I looked it up, and it really does fit every single requirement that I have for a stroller. It is lightweight, durable, has a basket and places to store stuff, can snap in a carseat, folds up easily, and is a 3-wheeler but not with huge pretentious wheels. So…great, you must be thinking. But…Menachem has ONE requirement: That the handlebars adjust to accommodate taller people (i.e. him). I was *told* that the City Mini has pretty high handlebars, but until we try it (and remember, we live in Israel and don’t have so much opportunity to baby store hop), or until someone tall assures us that it is comfortable, it is going off our list. GRRRRR…. Any tall readers out there have experience with the City Mini?
